13 May 2008 - 11:48

VfB Stuttgart are reportedly in discussions with Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann. The German keeper has been released by the Gunners and he seems set for a move back to Germany.

  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Jens Lehmann had been linked with a move to Aston Villa, but it appears that the German will be more willing to move to his homeland.

Rafael Schaefer has been a disappointment in between the sticks for VfB this season.

"If I were to continue my career, I think I could do it there (in Stuttgart)," Lehmann told Bild.

"They are a club who belong at the top of the Bundesliga."
