Liverpool's scouts have sent a glowing report to manager Jurgen Klopp regarding Brazilian 20-year-old winger Gabriel Veron, currently playing for FC Porto in Portugal. Since making his debut in 2022, Veron has played 17 top flight games and has been valued at close to 30 million euros by his club.
In 2022, Porto signed the player from Palmeiras in a deal worth around 10.25 million euros. Veron was initially slow to start, but towards the end of the 2022/23 season, was able to force his way into the club's starting XI.
Liverpool singed Luis Diaz from Porto in 2021, and are hopeful the Anfield side are hopeful their existing relationship with the Portuguese club can be leveraged in order to agree terms to sign Gabriel Veron.
Liverpool could also be joined by German side Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign the Assu-born youngster, with the German club contemplating an opening offer for the 5 foot 9 wing wizard.
It is understood that Liverpool are ready to pay upwards of 25 million euros in order to secure a deal for the Brazilian youth international.
