Serie A club Juventus have reached out to Chelsea with regards to a transfer move for Romelu Lukaku. The Turin side made their first approach for the Belgium international striker yesterday, making a bid of £50 million for the coveted striker.
Rumours of a potential Vlahovic-Lukaku swap deal have been on the lips of many Italian reporters, but Eyefootball understands Juve would prefer to sign Lukaku on a permanent basis with no swap deal involved. The 30-year-old striker, who played for Inter Milan last year on a temporary basis, does not want to return to London. The striker is desperate for a return to Italy. Lukaku is currently earning £200000 a week, which has turned off Inter Milan from making a bid. That being said, Juventus understands that Chelsea could be willing to subsidise Lukaku's salary in order to enable a swift exit.
Lukaku is considered one of the most physically strong strikers in the game, and that trait is what has attracted Juventus. The "Old Lady" see Lukaku as their preferred marksman for the upcoming campaign as they seek to bolster their forward line.
Lukaku only has eyes for a return to Italy, and Juventus expect to seal a deal before the transfer window comes to a conclusion.
