Manchester United have suffered a blow with Harry Maguire failing to agree personal terms with West Ham United over a transfer.
The England international seemed on his way to the Hammers last week after United finalised a verbal deal worth £30 million.
David Moyes confirmed an agreement in a press conference, but a deal is now off due. Maguire has decided against moving on.
The centre-back believes he has a big role to play for United this season, and he is prepared to fight for his position in the XI.
The news will come as a big blow for the Red Devils, who have apparently lined up Benjamin Pavard as his possible replacement.
The Frenchman has already agreed terms in principle with United, but the club are unlikely to afford him due to FFP issues.
With Maguire making the decision to stay put, the club are unlikely to secure the 27-year-old's services before the deadline.
Pavard could still move to the Premier League with Liverpool keen.
