Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is waiting for a move to Manchester United since the end of June, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils have had a mixed start to the Premier League campaign and they have picked up only six points from three games.
Their midfield displays have been far from convincing, and a new defensive midfielder seems a requirement before the deadline.
Amrabat is the top target for manager Erik ten Hag, but United have not made a bid so far as they are recouping funds from sales.
Romano has now revealed that Amrabat won't be involved for Fiorentina tomorrow as he is looking for a way out of the club.
The Moroccan star has been waiting for the Red Devils since late June, and United could make a late approach to land his services.
Liverpool have also been linked with him, but the Merseyside outfit don't consider his transfer as a priority at the current point.
