Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has re-emerged as a target for West Ham United before the transfer deadline.
The Hammers agreed a deal worth £30 million to sign the centre-back this month, but a deal broke down due to personal terms.
While Maguire accepted a £70,000 pay-cut on his £190,000-a-week wages, he wanted the Red Devils to compensate it with a pay-off.
The Englishman wanted around £12m to leave the club, but United were reluctant to pay more than £6m for his departure.
As a result, the transfer broke down, but The Sun claim that the Hammers are planning another attempt before the deadline.
West Ham are now willing to pay a slightly higher sum such that United are able to convince Maguire with a better pay-off.
It remains to be seen whether a deal will materialise between the clubs.
United are interested in signing Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice, but the transfer entirely depends on Maguire heading out of the club.
