Bayern Munich have been linked with a shock move for Tottenham defender Eric Dier. The 29 year old has been out of favour at Tottenham since the arrival of new manager Ange Poctecoglou and Dier is reportedly interested in a move away from Tottenham.
The Englishman has made over 350 appearances for the club since joining from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2014 for a fee of £4 million. The defender has just one year left on his current contract and both Dier and the club are not interested in renewing his contract.
Whilst Dier's original preference was to depart the club for free in the summer of 2024, it is believed he would now prefer a move before the end of the current transfer window.
The Bayern Munich board are reportedly fans of Dier's versatility to play as a centre back as well as a defensive midfielder and are contemplating a move as they are in the market for a new centre back with Frenchman Benjamin Pavard leaving the club to join Inter Milan with the club also being linked with moves for Chelsea's Trevoh Chalobah and AC Milan's Pierre Kalulu.
