Leicester City have agreed to let Patson Daka join Bournemouth, as the Zambia international striker seeks a return to the Premier League. Daka arrived at Leicester City in 2021 from Red Bull Salzburg, and in two seasons managed nine Premier League goals in 53 appearances. The Cherries will pay Daka's £75,000 a week salary for the duration of the year long loan.
Prior to moving to England, Daka had an impressive goalscoring record in Austria with Liefering and Red Bull Salzburg, scoring plenty of goals and in the 2020-21 campaign a return of 27 goals in 28 games did not go unnoticed by the Foxes who paid around £23 million.
Bournemouth have been happy with the recent impressive form of Dominic Solanke, but do want to add strength in depth to their attack and the arrival of Daka provides cover.
It is understood that Bournemouth have negotiated a transfer fee clause in the loan deal, where the Cherries can sign Daka on a permanent basis for any time for around £17 million.
Daka has three years remaining on his Leicester City deal.
