Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad made a shock approach to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison this week.
Al-Ittihad focused on landing Mohamed Salah from Liverpool in the final weeks of the transfer window, but they could not convince the Reds.
As a result, they turned their attention to landing Richarlison from Spurs instead, but the north London giants were not keen.
The Brazilian has been a huge disappointment since his move from Everton last summer and he has found goals hard to come by.
Al-Ittihad were aiming to tempt Spurs into a deal before their transfer deadline on September 7, but failed to do so.
However, questions will continue over Richarlison's future as he has struggled to become a consistent goalscorer.
While he has been brilliant in the colours of Brazil, he has simply failed to settle since his move to the English capital.
We won't be surprised if there is fresh interest in signing him from Saudi when the transfer window reopens next year.
