Chelsea could go head-to-head with Arsenal to sign Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez at the turn of the year.
The Mexico international was in fantastic form for the Dutch giants last term. He netted a stunning 28 goals for them as they won the Eredivisie title.
The striker has continued the brilliant form this campaign with 10 goals in just eight games this season. His displays are attracting a lot of interest.
Chelsea and Arsenal are both tracking his performances in all competitions and could go head-to-head to land his signature this winter.
It is unclear whether Feyenoord will consider his sale in the next transfer window. If they do, they could demand a significant fee.
It could take at least €50-60 million to convince them to part ways with the 22-year-old, who is also on the radar of Real Madrid.
Madrid are pretty much assured to sign Kylian Mbappe next summer, but have identified Gimenez as a potential understudy for the Frenchman.
