Chelsea are showing an interest in signing RB Leipzig striker Lois Openda, according to Fichajes.
The Belgian netted 21 goals for Lens during the previous campaign as they finished runners-up in Ligue 1.
He joined RB Leipzig in the recent transfer window and has impressed with five goals from just 11 outings.
It is now reported that the Blues are keen on bringing him to the Premier League and it could happen next year.
The Blues invested on Nicolas Jackson last summer, and he has recently found form with a couple of goals.
Despite this, manager Mauricio Pochettino wants another striker on board and Openda is under consideration.
Openda's current deal has a release clause worth €80m which becomes active until the end of the campaign.
The Blues have the financial capacity to pay such a huge fee, but they may negotiate an instalment plan for his services.
The former Lens marksman could find it hard to turn down a lucrative transfer to the Gunners this summer.
