On-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has spoken about his special relationship with Roma manager Jose Mourinho.
The Belgian wanted to leave the Blues during the summer transfer window. He was on the radar of Inter Milan and Juventus before Roma won the race to land him on a season-long loan.
There were initially doubts over his fitness with the lack of pre-season, but the striker has been brilliant for the Giallorossi with seven goals and two assists in all competitions to date.
Lukaku has now heaped praise on Mourinho and believes he is someone he trusts, he said: "As I have said in the past, the coach and I have a special relationship. He knows my family, he knows my children: he is someone I trust, as he has in me."
Roma don't have any option to buy Lukaku from the Blues next summer, but they are likely to be tempted to do so.
With the Blues holding an interest in re-signing Tammy Abraham, a straight swap deal could be agreed between the clubs.
