Manchester United defender Raphael Varane is not pleased with Erik ten Hag following his decision to drop him from the Manchester derby.
The Frenchman has been a mainstay in central defence for the Red Devils since his arrival from Real Madrid a few years ago.
He is one of the first names on the teamsheet when fit, but Ten Hag surprised many by dropping him to the bench for the derby.
Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans were picked ahead of him in the XI and Ten Hag went on to highlight that the decision was tactical.
It is now revealed that Varane is disappointed with the manager's decision and their relationship is far from ideal at the current point.
Varane missed the midweek Carabao Cup fourth round tie with an illness and it will be interesting to see whether he starts on Saturday.
If the World Cup winner does not make the XI, there will be serious questions regarding his future ahead of the New Year.
