Manchester United midfielder Casemiro could leave the club at the end of the season following the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo.
Mainoo had a good start to pre-season with the Red Devils but he unfortunately picked up a knee injury against Real Madrid.
As a result, he was ruled out of action for several months but he is now fully fit to feature for Erik ten Hag's side in all competitions.
Mainoo recently delivered a stellar showing against Everton and reports claim that he could become a mainstay over the coming months.
This could directly coincide with the departure of Casemiro, who has been injury-prone and has shown signs of regression this campaign.
The Brazilian is on the radar of several Saudi clubs heading into January, but United plan to keep him until the end of the season at least.
In the process, they will have the opportunity to groom Mainoo such that he is ready to take over the number six position permanently.
