Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old was a revelation for Championship side Coventry last term with 22 goals and 15 assists in 50 appearances.
Despite his efforts, the club did not earn promotion and this paved the way for his move to Sporting Lisbon over the summer.
Gyokeres has since excelled with 15 goals and seven assists in 17 games and reports claim that the Gunners are scouting him.
The north London giants have watched him more than once and they are now considering an approach for his signature next month.
However, Mikel Arteta's side may not succeed in landing him as Sporting have no plans to negotiate a fee for the marksman.
Sporting are currently top of their league table and believe Gyokeres is essential to them going on to lift the title in May.
They are only prepared to lose him if the Gunners are ready to trigger the staggering €100 million release clause in his deal.
