Pirlo wants Milan for good

Pirlo wants Milan for good

16 May 2008 - 08:05

AC Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo has declared that he wants to spend the rest of his playing career at his currrent and insists that he is not at all contemplating a move away from the red and black half of the San Siro.

  • Arsenal make surprise decision on Viktor Gyokeres
  • Arsenal to battle Napoli to sign Alexsandro Ribeiro?

  • Pirlo, an Italian international, has been at MIlan since 2001 when he was signed by the other Milanese club Inter. Since then, the 29-year old deep-lying playmaker has developed into one of the best players in his position in the world and one of the key players for Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti.

This season has been a poor one for both Milan and Andrea Pirlo and there have been one or two whispers that Pirlo would be sold to any club with a considerable offer for the club.

But the player has now come out of the blocks and squashed all those rumours of a transfer. He says that he is happy at Milan and that he wants to retire there.

    Andrea Pirlo said:

"I want to close my career at Milan and sooner or later I will even make myself club captain."

AC Milan are fifth in the Italian Serie A at the moment with just one more round of matches remaining this season. They are set to undergo a huge revamp in the summer.
