Manchester United midfielder Hannibal Mejbri will be denied the opportunity to leave the club this month.
The Tunisian's previous deal was due to expire in June this year, but United recently triggered an extension clause to keep him for another 12 months.
As a result, the club have time on their hands to make a decision. Mejbri is keen on joining Sevilla on loan but his wish may not be granted.
The Red Devils have already allowed Donny van de Beek to leave for Eintracht on loan. The German club have an option to buy him.
Erik ten Hag is said to be concerned over the prospect of injuries and has told the hierarchy to keep Mejbri with the lack of midfield depth.
As things stand, United are without Casemiro and Mason Mount due to fitness issues while Sofyan Amrabat is with Morocco for the AFCON.
This leaves the club with only Kobbie Mainoo, Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen as midfield options aside from Mejbri.
