Gaydamak promises funds

Gaydamak promises funds

17 May 2008 - 09:27

Portsmouth chairman Sacha Gaydamak has promised the club and it's fans that he will be investing money in new players this summer and that Harry Redknapp will have freedom to roam the transfer market.

  • Chelsea set to sign Crystal Palace star for £47m
  • Man Utd aiming to beat Liverpool to 25yo midfielder
  • “There are always challenges to make the club go forward," he said. "It is difficult even to go from 17th to 15th in the Premier League but that is easier than trying to move from sixth to third.

“The aim is to be a regular top-10 club. Now we have to make further investment.”

It is believed that Portsmouth are to mount a bid for Peter Crouch and Stewart Downing in the summer.
