Manchester United absolutely want to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong at the end of the campaign.
The Netherlands international has been a key player for the Catalan giants but could move on in the summer.
His current deal only expires in June 2026, but he is said to be unhappy with the lack of progress at the club.
De Jong was hoping to win the Champions League with the Catalans, but the La Liga outfit have not succeeded thus far.
It is now reported that the midfielder could consider a move away from the club if they end up without a trophy this term.
Furthermore, it is added that he could end up in the Premier League with United absolutely interested in him.
The Red Devils failed with a proposal worth €85m in 2022 and the midfielder could cost a similar transfer fee.
Back then, De Jong was not keen on a summer exit, but he could give the green light for a move this time around.
