Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is set to be offloaded by the Red Devils following the end of the season.

  • Erik ten Hag confirms triple Man Utd injury boost for Newcastle game

  • The Moroccan signed for the club on a season-long loan from Fiorentina. A hefty fee of €9m was paid for his temporary deal.

As part of the agreement, United have the option to sign him permanently for €20m, but that is unlikely to happen anymore.

According to Calciomercato, the chances of a summer deal have vanished for Amrabat amid his struggles in the Premier League.

Amrabat joined the Red Devils with much hype, having starred for Morocco en route to the semi-final of the World Cup in 2022.

The midfielder is already preparing for a return to Serie A. His future is expected to lie elsewhere with Fiorentina eyeing offers.

Juventus are one of his main admirers, but the Turin giants are likely to propose a loan deal with an option to buy in future.

Amrabat's current contract with Fiorentina expires in June next year. He may need to agree an extension for another loan exit.
