Arsenal have made contact with Bayern Munich over a potential transfer for midfielder Joshua Kimmich, according to Football Transfers.
Kimmich has been a mainstay for the German champions, but he could be on the move this summer amid the lack of contract talks.
His current deal expires at the end of next season and as things stand, there are no plans to negotiate a new contract with him.
Kimmich considers Arsenal as one of his preferred destinations and it is claimed that the Gunners have contacted Bayern.
As the midfielder does not have an agent, the north London giants need to directly speak with Bayern over his availability.
The German champions are unwilling to discuss at the moment and prefer to wait until the end of the season to open talks.
Manchester City and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in the German star, who is open to a move to England.
Manchester United are also admirers of the versatile ace, but he has no desire to join them amid the lack of a proper project.
