Manchester United defender Raphael Varane will leave the club as a free-agent in the summer with no contract talks planned.
The Frenchman has been a key player for the Red Devils over the past three years, but the hierarchy are reluctant to keep him.
He is currently the joint-highest earner at the club and the board don't want to trigger an extension clause available in his contract.
With his contract expiring on June 30, the centre-back is now likely to leave on a free transfer, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano adds that the club have not discussed fresh terms with the world-class centre-back. His future could be away from the Red Devils.
Varane has suffered plenty of injury concerns during his time at United and he is currently out for around a month with a muscle issue.
His injury problems have contributed to the lack of consistency and United are looking to replace him with a young central defender.
