Vieira revels in Inter title joy

18 May 2008 - 17:12

Patrick Vieira admits that this Inter Milan title victory was much more enjoyable than the last, after a 2-0 victory over Parma at the Tardini ensured a third straight Serie A success.

  • Man Utd without four players for Bournemouth clash
  • Liam Rosenior on Enzo Fernandez's Chelsea future
  • Vieira has been a force to be reckoned with for Inter as soon as he arrived from Arsenal three years ago, but has admitted this is the time to enjoy their success after a long, close season.

“This title is more enjoyable than last year,” grinned Vieira. “My compliments to Roma, who gave their all, but I think at the end of the day the best team won.

“It wasn’t right to let the Scudetto slip away in the final match. Admittedly, when we heard Roma were leading, then I was a little worried, but my teammates did well.

“At the end, what should have happened did happen.”
