Schwarzer could stay at Boro

Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer may still remain at Middlesbrough, but did warn his boss Gareth Southgate that they will have to pull out the stops to ensure he stays at the club. Juventus and Bayern Munich have both been linked with the keeper.

"I had a very long conversation with Gareth Southgate last week and he expressed that desire to me, that he wants me to stay at the club," Schwarzer told The Sunday Sun.



"I told him I hadn't made a decision yet and he fully understands that position.



"Now they've stepped up and said they want to keep me, I told him it's up to the club to work out a deal."
