Barcelona have identified Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey as a key transfer target for 2025.
The Catalan giants are currently lagging behind in the defensive midfield department. They are likely to pursue a new signing this summer.
The likes of Martin Zubimendi and Joshua Kimmich have been linked, but the question is whether the Blaugrana can afford them amid FFP issues.
Amidst this, it is reported that the club are closely monitoring Partey and could swoop for his services at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
Partey has had several injury problems during his time at Arsenal, but he has started the last three Premier League games for the London club.
His current deal expires in the summer of 2025, and we don't believe the Gunners will allow him to leave on a free transfer next year.
Hence, this should hamper Barcelona's chances of signing him. Partey could move to Serie A with Juventus and AC Milan among his admirers.
