Arsenal could use Emile Smith Rowe as a makeweight to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Gunners are eyeing a new centre-forward ahead of next season and it has been reported that Osimhen is one of their top targets alongside Benjamin Sesko.
It is now revealed that Napoli are interested in landing Smith Rowe as they seek to bolster their attacking midfield options. Arsenal are likewise keen on Osimhen.
This could pave the way for a part-exchange deal between the clubs.
Osimhen currently has a release clause worth £111m in his contract, but it is quite clear that the Gunners have no interest in meeting the price.
Napoli are willing to negotiate on the final fee and this could be lowered by a fair margin if Smith Rowe moves the other way as part of the deal.
It is left to be seen whether Smith Rowe is interested in the move. He could prefer to continue in the Premier League with another club instead.
