Bayern Munich have ruled out a move for Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Ukrainian lost his starting spot with the Gunners during the back end of last season. Takehiro Tomiyasu and Jakub Kiwior were preferred over him at left-back.
This has led to speculation that he could be offloaded in the summer and a recent report claimed that manager Vincent Kompany wants to bring him to Bayern.
However, the story has now been dismissed by Plettenberg who has revealed that the Bavarian giants have no desire to sign the former Manchester City defender.
Instead, the club are focused on prolonging the stay of Alphonso Davies whose deal concludes at the end of next season.
Davies has been much fancied to join Real Madrid, but the La Liga champions are reluctant to meet the €80 million price tag.
Bayern are aiming to take advantage of the situation by negotiating a new long-term contract with the Canada international.
