Another player has emerged from Norway's production line of top youth talent, as Odin Thiago Holm appears likely to move to the Premier League this summer with possible moves to either Chelsea, Leicester City or Liverpool. Holm is playing for Scottish Premier League champions Celtic, and appeared nine times for the Hoops already, but could now be in line for a move south of the border.
Holm began his career playing for various youth sides including Ranheim and Valerenga, and the same outfit gave Holm his debut in 2019. In 2023 a move to Scotland with Celtic followed for a transfer fee of £2.6 million with a further £1 million of add-ons. Odin also recently made his debut for Norway's under-20 side, and international honours for the country's first-team will soon beckon.
Holm is a versatile central midfielder, equally happy in an attacking or defensive role, but his undoubted preferred position is as a deep-lying playmaker. With four years remaining on his Celtic contract, Premier League sides will need to spend upward of £15 million to secure the signature of the Trondheim-born star.
