Arsenal are interested in landing the signature of Paris Saint-Germain winger Xavi Simons this summer, according to L'Equipe.
The Gunners are aiming to bolster their attack ahead of next season and a new wide player could be among their top targets.
L'Equipe claim that the club have made contact with PSG regarding Simons, but the French outfit are reluctant to sell him.
PSG re-signed Simons from PSV last summer and as part of the deal, the Dutch club will be owed a significant sell-on clause until January 2025.
Hence, they are only prepared to accept a loan deal for the Dutchman, who contributed towards 25 goals for Leipzig on loan last season.
Leipzig are favourites to re-sign him for another campaign but the likes of Bayern Munich are also pushing to land his signature.
Arsenal prefer a permanent transfer and it remains to be seen whether they will make a loan offer of their own for the 21-year-old.
Manchester United are also admirers of the highly-rated winger.
