Gianluca Zambrotta is being lined up by AC Milan as a big summer transfer move as they begin the rebuilding process for next season after missing out on Champions League football after Fiorentina beat them to the post for fourth spot in Serie A.

Zambrotta is known to be very unhappy in Barcelona, and is desperate to return to his homeland this summer.



The Italian full back has become tired with the lack of confidence shown in him by Barcelona's board of directors, and became frustrated with Frank Rijkaard towards the end of the season.



Zambrotta is expected to be allowed to leave Barcelona for around £6 million.
