Napoli manager Antonio Conte has confirmed that Victor Osimhen can leave the club this summer due to a verbal agreement with the hierarchy.
The Nigeria international signed a new contract until June 2026 in December last year, but he is still expected to leave the Naples outfit.
This has now been confirmed by Conte who said: "I know what the situation is regarding Osimhen. I know that there are agreements."
Osimhen netted only 17 goals in the recent campaign amid injuries and international duty, but he is still on the radar of elite clubs.
Chelsea and Arsenal are among his main admirers, but a deal appears unlikely unless Napoli reduce their valuation for the 25-year-old.
He currently has a release clause worth €130m in his deal, but clubs are reluctant to pay more than €90m to secure his signature.
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has been a tough negotiator over the years, but he may have to loosen his stance to sell Osimhen.
