Leicester City have completed the signing of Chelsea midfielder Michael Golding for a reported fee of around £5 million.
The Foxes recently sold midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to the Blues for £30m. As part of the deal, it was agreed that the Midlands outfit would buy someone from the west London giants.
Instead of signing a first-team star, the club went ahead to secure a deal for Golding, who is considered as a potential star for the future. Steve Cooper gave the green light for the youngster's move.
Golding was unlikely to break into the first-team plans of Chelsea, but he could now have an opening with the Foxes, who will be keen to impress on their return to the Premier League after one season.
The Foxes face a tough task of beating the drop despite their previous history in the division. With their PSR concerns, they are not in a position to spend big and may have to rely on cut-price deals.
