Manchester United could reportedly hijack Arsenal's move to sign Fenerbahce left-back Ferdi Kadioglu.
The Gunners agreed personal terms with the Turkey international in May, and they have since made a couple of transfer bids.
Their latest offer of £20m has fallen short of the £30m price tag and they could now face competition from the Red Devils.
United are determined to land a new left-back this summer amid the injury concerns for Luke Shaw as well as Tyrell Malacia.
It is now reported that the Red Devils are very interested in Kadioglu and they are set to speak with his representative pretty soon.
Should the Turkish star give the green light, United are prepared to proceed with a formal approach for his services this month.
The news is a potential setback for the Gunners, who were aiming to land his signature with not much competition.
It remains to be seen whether they will make a renewed approach for the 24-year-old amid interest from the Red Devils.
