Nigeria international and Napoli star forward Victor Osimhen will leave Serie A this summer in favour of a transfer to French giants Paris Saint-Germain, in a deal worth a reported 100 million euros. PSG will move swiftly to snap up Osimhen amidst some interest from Premier League side Chelsea.
Osimhen is wanted to replace Kylian Mbappe, who departed Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid in a deal officially confirmed last month, as Mbappe was presented to Real's supporters yesterday.
Osimhen has been with Napoli since 2020, and has scored 65 goals in Serie A in 108 games, helping Napoli to their first title in more than 30 years, and becoming one of the best strikers in Europe.
The 25-year-old is keen to make a move elsewhere as he is likely to almost triple his salary in Ligue 1 with a move away from Naples. Chelsea are looking to submit a late bid for the 6 foot 1 forward, but Osimhen has his heart set on a deal to move to France.
It is understood that Osimhen will sign a four-year contract in the French capital.
