Manchester United have held talks to land the signature of midfielder Adrien Rabiot this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Rabiot is currently a free-agent after deciding to leave Juventus at the expiry of his contract. He has yet to pick his new club.
Romano has now revealed that United have made contact with the representative and mother of the talented midfielder.
Rabiot is eyeing a big-money contract after turning down a net salary of around £115,000 per week at the Bianconeri.
There is nothing advanced at the moment, but things could change with United cooling down their interest in Manuel Ugarte.
Ugarte is valued at £52 million by Paris Saint-Germain and the club have decided against proceeding with a transfer approach.
They have turned their attention elsewhere. Rabiot could re-emerge as a potential target, considering he is available on a free.
Fiorentina's Sofyan Amrabat could also be back on the club's radar following his loan stint with the club last season.
