Manchester United defender Leny Yoro could be out of action until the New Year, according to The Sun.
The Frenchman joined the Red Devils from Lille last month and he had an impressive start to pre-season.
However, he picked up an ankle injury during the 2-1 defeat to Arsenal. A surgery was required for the setback.
United officially confirmed that Yoro would require three months to return to action, but the gap could be much longer.
As per The Sun, the Red Devils don't expect Yoro to play regularly until the beginning of the new calendar year.
With this in mind, the club have stepped up their pursuit of a new central defender and are eyeing different options.
Bayern Munich's Matthijs de Ligt has been tipped to join for the past few weeks, but there is a gap in valuation.
The club are also contemplating the prospect of a renewed bid to sign Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite.
