Manchester United have included defender Tyrell Malacia in their Europa League squad for the league phase.
The Dutch international has been nursing a knee injury since July last year and he has yet to return to team training.
There is no return rate for the left-back as of now, but manager Erik ten Hag has hinted that he could be available soon.
Malacia could make his comeback in the next few months. United have hinted the same with his Europa League inclusion.
United are currently without their left-backs with injuries. Luke Shaw has been nursing a calf problem in recent weeks.
The England international is anticipated to return after the international break, but could be handled with extra caution.
Shaw has missed more than 60 games in the last three years and United could be cautious with him in the short-term.
Until then, Diogo Dalot could continue as the makeshift left-back. He has started in the role for the first three league games.
