Arsenal are open to the prospect of signing another winger when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The Gunners were determined to land Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao this summer, but they could not convince the Spaniard.
The club eventually signed Raheem Sterling on loan from Chelsea on deadline day and he could be an useful signing for them.
This may not stop them from investing this winter and reports claim that Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo is under their consideration.
The club have been closely monitoring his progress over the past year and they failed with an enquiry for him before the deadline.
Mbeumo has started the season brightly with three goals from as many games and Arsenal could make a move for him in January.
Brentford are unlikely to part ways with their prized asset on the cheap and they could demand as much as £60m for the 25-year-old.
Mbeumo would welcome a move to the Emirates this winter.
