Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly favourites to sign Lille striker Jonathan David on a free transfer.
The Gunners were heavily fancied to land a new centre-back this summer, but they did not sign anyone in the end.
Spurs, on the other hand, secured their objective by spending a club-record fee to land Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.
It is now reported by Tuttojuve that David will be available on a free transfer when his Lille contract expires next summer.
David has been a consistent goalgetter for the French outfit and he netted an impressive 26 goals in the recent campaign.
The Canadian ace was much fancied to leave the club, but Lille did not receive any suitable proposals on the table.
David is reportedly eyeing £97,000 per week and Arsenal are in the front row to sign him alongside Spurs next year.
It remains to be seen whether the Gunners make an approach or look for a more high-profile striker in the transfer market.
