Arsenal are prepared to sign Lille striker Jonathan David when the transfer window reopens in January, according to Caught Offside.
The Canada international has entered the last year of his contract with the French outfit and he has no plans of penning an extension.
As a result, the Ligue 1 club are expected to sell him for a cut-price fee in January and Arsenal are aiming to capitalise on the same.
David has been a long-term transfer target for the Gunners. He was initially linked with the club before Gabriel Jesus signed in 2022.
The 24-year-old has continued to impress in the French top tier. He netted an impressive 19 goals in Ligue 1 last term - 26 in all competitions.
Lille were eyeing around £25m for the marksman this summer and there is a possibility that he could be available for just £15m in January.
Arsenal are not alone in the pursuit of the striker. Premier League rivals Liverpool are also keeping tabs on him ahead of the New Year.
