Manchester United could reportedly replace Erik ten Hag with Massimiliano Allegri as their new manager.
Ten Hag secured his job earlier this summer after winning the FA Cup. The Dutchman was handed huge financial backing from the new management, but his job is far from assured.
INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are monitoring the club's performances and Calciomercato claim that Ten Hag could be one major defeat away from being dismissed from his position.
Allegri, who is a free-agent after leaving Juventus, is the number one candidate to succeed Ten Hag. He has been on United's radar for a while and the club have revived their interest.
United face Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon and it could be a make-or-break game for Ten Hag despite back-to-back wins following the international break.
The club were beaten in both encounters against the Eagles last season and another loss at Selhurst Park could pave the way for Ten Hag's sacking.
