Portsmouth deny Zarate move

Portsmouth have denied that they are interested ins igning former Birmingham City striker Mauro Zarate from Al Saad. The talented Argentinian is available from his Qatari club and is keen on a return to the Premiership.

  • It is believed that Arsenal and Aston Villa would both like to sign the talented player, who comes with a hefty £20 million pricetag.



    Portsmouth though, were keen to deny that they were one of the clubs interested in Zarate.



    "That's absolute nonsense. I don't know where that story has come from but he is not one of the players we are looking at," Peter Storrie told the Portsmouth News.
