Newcastle are reportedly in the market for France Under-21 striker Loic Remy. The player is also a target for Portsmouth and Sunderland but the Toon are reportedly heading the queue for the player.

The 21-year-old went on loan to Lens for the second half of last season and hit three goals in ten appearances during his spell in northern France.



Lyon eventually signed the player after some transfer wrangling, but an impressive season in the reserves has seen several Premiership sides interested in the talented youngster.
