Manchester United have an excellent chance to sign Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah at the end of the campaign.
The Germany international was on their radar during the summer transfer window, but Leverkusen were reluctant to sell him on the cheap.
United ended up securing the signatures of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt to bolster their central defence, but Tah remains on their wishlist.
Florian Plettenberg has now revealed that the experienced ace has made the decision to leave Leverkusen when his contract expires next summer.
Bayern Munich were hotly interested in landing him earlier this year, but the Bavarian giants may not return for him in 2025.
This should open the door for other suitors. United could compete with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for the 28-year-old.
The Red Devils are likely to lose Victor Lindelof on a free transfer when his contract concludes at the end of the current season.
Tah would be an upgrade on the Swede with his better distribution from the back. He is better in winning aerial challenges too.
