Ronaldinho could stay at Barca

22 May 2008 - 06:12

According to fresh reports emanating from Spain, the disoriented Ronaldinho could be persuaded to linger on at FC Barcelona beyond the summer. Incoming coach Josep Guardiola is said to be in deep discussion with the club's board to carve a way through for the 28-year old Brazilian ace to remain at Camp Nou.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • There have been wild speculation that Barcelona are more than just eager to ship off Barcelona for a hefty amount of fee and his most likely destination was supposed to be AC Milan.

But the Italian club's failure to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League and their disinclination to pay the amount that Barca are asking imply that Ronaldinho's move to Milan is now virtually

Ronaldinho has even rejected to hear anything about a Manchester United move.

Moreover, incoming coach Pep Guardiola is said to be a huge fan of Ronaldinho and has held talks with the Brazilian international to discuss on his stay at Barca. Guardiola is set to make massive changes to the squad but he does realize the huge talent that Ronaldinho possesses and therefore is not too willing to let the Brazilian go.

But Barcelona president Joan Laporta has insisted that Ronaldinho is on his wat out of Camp Nou this summer.
