Manchester United are set to face competition from Real Madrid to sign Sporting Lisbon star Goncalo Inacio next summer.
The Red Devils recently parted ways with Erik ten Hag as their head coach and he has been replaced by Ruben Amorim at the helm.
Amorim has already hinted that he would like to reunite with Sporting CP players and Fichajes claim that Inacio is one of his top targets.
The left-footed star has developed into one of the best centre-backs in Portugal and he has been tipped to leave Sporting for some time.
He has a release clause worth €60m in his contract, but reports claim that the Portuguese champions could sanction his sale for a lesser sum.
Real Madrid are also weighing up a future move for the 23-year-old, but United could provide fierce competition after Amorim's arrival at the helm.
United may have to wait until the summer to do business as Sporting have no plans of negotiating on the clause during the winter transfer window.
