Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka could emerge as an option for Manchester United next year, according to Christian Falk.
The Germany international has dropped down the pecking order this campaign and he has been limited to minutes off the bench under manager Vincent Kompany.
His situation is unlikely to improve in the near future and Falk claims that he could pursue a new challenge away from the Bavarian giants soon.
A mid-season exit does not appear on the cards, but the possibility can't be ruled out. United could propose a loan deal with a buy option.
Goretzka has been on the Red Devils' radar for some period of time and the final decision on the German could depend on Ruben Amorim's stance.
Amorim is reportedly prepared to part ways with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen. The latter has been tipped to leave at the start of next year.
Goretzka could be seen as a possible replacement for one of the duo.
