Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh injury update on Gabriel Magalhaes and Riccardo Calafiori following the 2-0 win over Manchester United in the Premier League.
The north London giants registered a comfortable victory over the Red Devils last night and they managed to do so without the presence of Gabriel and Calafiori in their back four.
Speaking after the game, Arteta said that playing Gabriel against United was a big risk, but he and Calafiori could return in time to face Fulham on Sunday.
He said: "Gabi was a big risk to play today because he felt something against West Ham. Sunday is going to be a possibility with Riccardo as well, let’s see how he reacts."
Arsenal are currently seven points behind league leaders Liverpool. The Reds looked in pole position to beat Newcastle United last night before conceding a late equaliser.
The Gunners have now received added incentive to keep up the winning streak and they will be aiming to beat the Cottagers on the road this weekend.
