Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed a fresh injury blow ahead of the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur on the road tomorrow.
The Red Devils recently secured a stunning 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Premier League. They were trailing 1-0 in the 87th minute before scoring two goals in the space of 115 seconds.
In the same game, Mason Mount picked up an early injury and he was replaced by Kobbie Mainoo in the 14th minute. Amorim has now confirmed that he will be sidelined for tomorrow's encounter.
The manager did not specify the extent of the problem, but reports have claimed that the England international may not return to action until the turn of the year at least.
United defender Noussair Mazraoui picked up a knock in the derby too, but Amorim has said that he will be assessed ahead of tomorrow's trip to north London to face Spurs.
The Red Devils suffered a 3-0 loss to Spurs in the Premier League earlier this campaign and they will be aiming to avenge that result on Thursday night.
