Atletico Madrid are exploring the possibility of signing Manchester United forward Alejandro Garnacho at the end of the season.
The Argentina international was recently dropped from the matchday squad to face Manchester City. Manager Ruben Amorim said that the decision was purely tactical.
Garnacho is said to be displeased over the Portuguese's handling and reports claim that Atletico are keeping a close eye on their former graduate.
The 20-year-old signed for the Red Devils academy from Atletico in 2020, but the Spanish giants have continued to monitor his development.
If United open the door for Garnacho's exit next summer, Atletico are one of the clubs, who could be prepared to spend big for his services.
Real Madrid have also been credited with an interest in the past, but a move is unlikely following their acquisition of Kylian Mbappe on a free.
Garnacho is expected to be reinstated into United's squad for tonight's Carabao Cup quarter-final against Tottenham, but he may not start.
